Question after M10 admission

Hi,
I received a very generous financial aid package, for which I am truly grateful. However, my other daughter, who attends the same school, was awarded additional support, including airfare, travel expenses, a computer, and a book stipend.

I reached out to the financial aid office to inquire whether an adjustment could be made to include a book stipend and some travel assistance, as we are a struggling family. I wanted to ask if this is an uncommon request or if I may be overstepping by asking.

Boarding school is a significant financial stretch for us, but our teens are exceptional students and athletes who sought greater opportunities. Since the school promotes aid for students like them, I believe it’s reasonable to explore all available options.

I’d appreciate any insight you can provide.

I think it is worth a call as they are at the same school for the same family, now with two children. Of course things change year to year for schools and they may just be maintaining their commitment to your first child. Cannot hurt to ask them to reconsider as you are already accepted.
