Question for the Barrett kids/parents?

A lot of negative comments coming from classmates who have siblings going to ASU. They say that “at Barrett you pay more for the same degree” or “it’s just a humanities paper each semester…that’s it.” Of course I dont believe everything I hear, but I was hoping for some info about Barrett from actual students. What makes it different and beneficial?

Barrett, like all things, is what you make of it. If you want to write a couple extra papers a year and get your barrett certificate, you can. In that case, yes you are just spending money on something of relatively little value. I was not not that kind of person, though some of my classmates were. I used my Barrett status to do projects that interested me, such as designing a documentary of a Roman war using a video game platform to tape the details. I also used my Barrett status to get all of the classes that I wanted without fail, even ones that were supposedly impossible to get unless you were a specific major. I also used my Barrett status to acquire over $10,000 in internal research funding over the course of two years, etc, etc.
