I am just wondering to those people who scored 750 + or 800, what did you put for these 3 questions
1. Did the man (city passage) endorse the urban downtown ? Choices were like appreciation, uncocerned
2. The realtionship between african americans and the africans (i put ongoing relationship. Some put cultural relationshiop between america and africa).
3. The mona lisa question.. mouth of profile?

I ask these questions to those who score high on CR because most likely they are authorities on these questions (i.e. if someone scores 800 twice then MOST Likely they will get high up there as well.). I was just wondering what you high scoring CR people put for these.. just go an opinion. I am no where a high scorer (630).

Alright can you post your score next to it? I know there is no way to check the veracity of it but... oh well. Don't everyone post in this topic PLEASE. I really don't want this to turn out to be a "ambiguous thread". I just want to see what the normally high scoring people put.

Did anyone else see the word "ties" in the passage (around 1st paragraph)?
I don't exactly know what it said about ties, but I just chose the "cultural ties" answer since I was struggling between ongoing relationship and this answer. But isn't it common that sometimes the words of the right answer is directly stated in the passage? btw I didn't do so well on CR last time, so you might not wanna listen to me.

Just don't turn this into a fight topic like some of the others >.>.
So I think we can be sure that most of us believe appreciation, and ongoing relationship. 3 mouths to 2 profiles. Dang if we could only find these passages. Backfire didn't you say you found one ???

800, both previous times I took it. This last test was tougher than I remember the other ones being, though.

1.) appreciation (my justification - his entire point was to study a city like an ecologist - if he was unconcerned with the ecology of the city, why would he write an essay about it? he's obviously intrigued, which translates most closely to appreciation, i guess)
2.) ongoing relationship (i never thought of african americans and africans as two 'nations', or heard anyone refer to them that way, therefore that wasn't even an option for me - CR is usually straightforward at its core & you should go with your gut)
3.) smile (i found it odd immediately that when mentioning distictive features of the mona lisa, the author of the second passage left out the smile! that is THE most dinstinctive feature of the painting as far as its cultural significance, emphasized by the author of the first passage in his last line)

I guess I will state my reason for smile. He dedicated a whole paragraph for it (yes it was a paragraph.) with italics.. oops maybe I shouldn't of posted this >>

It's not usually CR. Its writing. I don't know why.. i had this question in May that NO ONE had. Everyone else had 1 QUESTION That i DID NOT have. People are talking about a harvard lawyer question. I DID not have it. It may be thrown out.
