Is the food in the Bath decent?
They are finishing the Tsai complex - if you have not seen it - it is amazing. The bathhouse is good it is a cafe where you can purchase food. There are also activities hosted there. There is tons of food and campus in the cafeteria, plus there is fruit and snack bars out during the day, in addition there are parent sponsored feeds on Saturday nights and different activities often have food enticements. I do not think you will go hungry.
Those days most sports have away games so it gives time for them to go to those games without missing class
If you’re coming into my class of 27’ we are very welcoming and one of my friends who came in as a new soph last year said it was seamless and the only thing is that you will have to take the freshman science class bc it is a requirement
It is delicious and cheap there is pizza, sandwiches, coffee, and bakery items
It is the Tsai field house it is where the gym is and basketball court basically where all the sport things will be located
wow! i cant wait to see it in freshman year!
also, what can we do if it is study hall and we already finished our work for the night and we have time remaining?
Most students use study to do homework or study. You can get early lights if you want to go to bed early the days are pretty long. Homework/studying generally takes longer than study hall allows so must students squeeze in work at other times of the day. Remember you have sports and clubs as well. You can always do something quiet in your room. Doors are open and phones are taken though you still have your computer.
Questions, student’s phone are taken away every evening?
what is a typical day in the life of a lawrentian? like what is the schedule like?
Here’s what an average day looks like:
7:45-8 wake up, eat breakfast
8:30-9:10 class starts depending on type of class
Consult somewhere during the day
Lunch and midday break from about 12-1:10
More classes until 3
Sports start at 3:30, run until 5:15-5:30
Dinner with friends
Clubs, orchestra, band, dance etc. 6-7:15
8 pm is checkin
8-10 is study hall
11 lights out? Not sure I’m a day student so usually gone before this
Hope that helps!
just during study hall in second form - I am not sure about the other grades. They put them in a bin and get them afterwards. In principle great, but of course there are computers.
That will never happen. If it does, you still have to abide by the study hall rules, but you can, say, play video games on your computer (as many people do in lieu of studying anyway). I don’t believe studying per se is mandatory, it’s just that the restrictions heavily encourage it.
I’m loving college, although midterms season has certainly been intense. Glad to know I haven’t been forgotten yet :^)
Where did you end up going to College
Does everyone from 9th to 12th share a room?
they don’t share online for privacy reasons, but i promise you it’s a great school!
The majority of 9th graders will have a single, but there are a few doubles available. Sophomore year, there are mostly doubles (at least for crescent/girls), junior year mostly singles, and senior year is really a mix.
Questions about incoming Freshman placement exams, when and what subjects do new students take those placement tests?
