Questions about prepaid CCs

<p>I’m trying to buy a book online but in order to do that I must have a cc. My parents are really cynical about the site that I want to buy from so they don’t allow me to used their card. So I was wondering,</p>

<p>1) how much do these prepaid cc usually cost</p>

<p>2) can I reuse them or do I have to buy a new one every time I purchase something</p>

<p>3) so I give the cashier my payment, then where does the money go? Does the money go to sites like eBay every time I make a purchase??</p>

<p>4) say I bought something that includes shipping and tax, does it get deducted from the card???</p>

<p>^thanks for answering. I want to ask whether these cards have any hidden fee. Like do I have to pay monthly to maintain a card. Also when sites like amazon ask you for expiration date of your card, how would these be applied to the prepaid card since the prepaid card doesn’t have an expiration date…</p>
