Questions regarding admission

Hi,
I wanna apply for American universities (next year), but I have some Questions regarding Admission.
The Problem is here in Austria we have to go to the army for 6 months or do civilian national service for 9 months after school. Even though I finish school this June I have to wait till this winter to apply and the problem here is, the universities need Teacher Evaluations and School Reports.
But how can they get these things if I’m not at school anymore, should I send them the Evaluation and school reports, or how should I proceed?
I know it’s a bit early, but I already talked to a teacher about the recommendation, so I really need to know…
Thanks

I was never asked for Teacher Evaluations, but I guess that depends on what university you apply to.

I only needed:
Transcript (translated) I guess this is what you mean with school reports?
Diploma (translated)
Summary of Activities

Summary of activities is your explanation of what you’ll be doing between graduation date and the date you’ll be attending university, which in your case is military service.

The teacher evaluations and school reports can be sent online through the CommonApp website by your teachers and counselors. The steps are quite simple and done 100% electronically, so just talk to your teachers first and things should be fine even if you’re not at school.

Ok, thanks for the help.
I have one more question though, do I need to send a Mid-Year School Report? (I suppose not, but I just wanna be sure)

If you will apply after you have completed your secondary school education, you will not need to send a mid-year report. You will just send your final school transcript.

If you are still in school now, I recommend you ask for letters of recommendation and prepare the school report while you are still a student (/shortly after you get your final grades). Use the paper forms and keep them in a secure place until the admission season starts later in the year. This way you won’t have to worry about communicating with your high school while you are doing military service.
