Questions regarding CS and Finance (later) in UVa

Hello guys,
I was accepted in CAS, and I’m thinking about Darden for grad school.
My main focus is CS, but a business mind is always important. If I’m about to stay in CS for 4 years, I shouldn’t have leverage for Darden (or even McIntire).
Based on the research I’ve done, I found several ways that can (only) potentially lead me to Darden:

  1. Double major in CS and Econ in CAS
  2. Switch to SEAS and declare engineering business minor w/ CS major
  3. Bust my butt to McIntire in my 2nd year, then go with IT concentration.

I wouldn’t like to give up any CS knowledge so I have second thought for third choice (how much close to CS if it’s about data analysis), even if it seems to have the most leverage. For the second choice, I’m doubtful to the leverage of engineering business.

The first option is apparently tough, but guarantees the not-bad result even if I cannot go to Darden for graduate study, but I’m not sure about my toughness and willingness to sacrifice my college life. But if I choose so, I will stay on it, just wondering about the worthiness.

I hope if anyone getting in similar situation can help me, any answers are welcomed!

Also, how is Darden compared to McIntire, advantages and disadvantages?

Thank you for your attention!

Did some more research, sorry about the comparison for these 2 schools because they are different.
But my question still remains the same that which approach is the most practical.
Thank you again!

Have you considered CS major, Econ minor? Work for a few years, employer pays for MBA. Very common in CS world. My friend did it got the MBA for free.

I am in the same predicament. Any suggestions?

A person needs significant experience before they can be admitted to Darden. McIntire does offer some master degree programs that a student can enter directly after they receive a bachelors.
