<p>So, I was at a fundraising event for Student Gov. A adult came over and said “So who is this fundraiser for” and I replied “Student Government”</p>
<p>Then she said “Student Government? What club is that? Liberal, Conservative, Independent?”</p>
<p>I was a bit suprised, but politely replied “Ah we’re not a political club. We’re the representatives of and govern the student body.” </p>
<p>And then she whispered to one of her friends “haha, student government, students running themselves”</p>
<p>As Student Body President, that episode left me pretty ****ed.</p>
