Well i found out buy my grades online that i got 79% on the final and i wondering do you think the teacher will raise it by that 1 tiny little percent> I mean i’m not disrespectful, i do all my work(except for two small assignments). What do you think my chances are?

Your chance is 22.76%, exactly.

Seriously, none of us know. Ask. Don’t expect anything to happen from it other than maybe a reply of “No” but ask.

Your chances are 1%

Talk to her. It’s not that uncommon especially since you haven’t done anything to make her think twice.

If it was multiple choice final, then no chance.

Actually the full percentage was 79.6%

…so wouldn’t they round up anyway?

Well i wouldn’t really know because my school is funny with that stuff so your basically kept in the dark with that unless the teacher tells you.

That’s grade inflation, which I strongly believe is a big part of the reason why America’s public education system needs some serious overhaul. But if it really bothers you that much, it would not hurt to ask.

EDIT: If you were at a 79.6 I suppose it should have been rounded up. Some teachers are really stringent with even a 79.9999999% still being a C+; hopefully yours isn’t like that.

Just ask. Go to your teacher after class one day soon when you know she’s in a good mood and ask. It all depends on the teacher.

But if it’s just the final, it doesn’t matter that much if it’s 1%.
