Just stumbled into this thread, but, what Mamaof1 said – how do you get the quotes in the gray box?

"How does Kate do it??

She hasn’t logged on to CC yet."

I bet she has too, lol. She seems like the type who would, ha!

“She hasn’t logged on to CC yet.”

Can you imagine the military precision of those application processes?

Mamaof1, to quote, [ quote ] then copy and paste what you want to quote then finish with [ /quote ] but eliminate the spaces.
Aaden is the one with the glasses and I agree that he is adorable. I love the episode when they were at the parade and he was sneaking candies behind Kate’s back.

timely, yes, we are truly cherishing all the planning time together, including with all of her sisters. I admire that you did it all in 3 months! We’ve had close to a year which has been wonderful and has made the planning fairly stress-free. :)

Kate said on one show that they didn’t have college funds for their kids. Obviously with the size of their family they will do well in need based financial aid, but I have wondered about how they are compensated for the show. Just Jon & Kate or kids as well? Anyone know?

Like this? WOW!!! I did it! Cool – thanks.

[ quote ]Like this? WOW!!! I did it! Cool – thanks.[ /quote ]

Eliminate the spaces??? ;)

Dang…it didn’t work for me. :(

A guilty pleaseure that is way tacky – pillsbury cinnamon grand rolls. When I produce those hot from the oven on a weekend morning my family thinks I’m completely brilliant. Not cinnabon but always available somewhere in the refrigerator - a huge shelf life.

Quoting is pretty easy. Did you know that you can select a block of text with your cursor and make it bold, or in italics by simply:

Highlighting it with your cursor

Entering <ctrl>b for **bold **or <ctrl>i for italics.</ctrl></ctrl>

I know there are some other choices, but those are the only ones I use regularly. This works on most forums, too. I have no idea what combination works on Macs.

In the advanced class we’ll talk about how to do both.

I know there are some other choices, but those are the only ones I use regularly. This works on most forums, too.

WashDad, OMG, I love it!!!

mamaof1, sorry I didn’t explain it more clearly.
The spaces that need eliminating are those between the brackets and the quote, /quote.

Testing . . .

Well shut my mouth!

Testing…

Let’s see what happens.

I DID IT

So glad to know I was not the only one who did not know this peice of information. :)

ditto
this forum is always educational.

The big thing around here is gourmet cupcakes. They are about $2.50-$3.00 each, but the flavors are amazing. Several bakeries specializing in these have popped up. Here’s one. [Cuppycakes Bakery and Confections](http://www.cuppycakesbakery.com)
I just ordered 5 dozen for the dessert party following my daughter’s wedding rehearsal dinner Friday night. I want to try all the flavors I ordered, so I’m thinking I’ll leave a bunch of knives out so we can cut them in half. Should be a good warm-up for the wedding cake the next night (from a different bakery).

MOWC, I love the vintage cakes section. I could really go for a nice, fresh coconut cake right about now.

MOWC,
For years I took students to the Saturn plant in Spring Hill until they cut the plant tour back to about a third of its original size. I haven’t been to Spring Hill since, but after viewing Cuppycakes, I may have to devise a plan to get there, particularly to sample the carrot cake one. A little wine and some of these treats and I don’t see how your dessert party can go wrong - enjoy!

Hooray to all of you who have learned how to quote! I remember how happy I was on the day I learned how to do it. Crazy, I know. :)

MOWC, cupcakes seem to be the in thing all over the place now. We have several cupcake bakeries in Toronto, too. I think that they’ve all been influenced by Magnolia in NYC which has been around for a long time making yummy cupcakes. We went to an anniversary party a few months ago and they had a beautiful ‘tree’ of cupcakes. I remember the cupcakes from my childhood -my favorite was always the type with the icing that was kind of hard and flowed from the top all the way down the sides (difficult to describe without drawing!) Sadly, I haven’t been able to find those anywhere these days. I wish you a wonderful weekend!

Great thread Zmom!! i was missing some of the Vigil posters!
I am focused on working out at least five days this week. 3 down more to go! Watching what I’m eating and TRYING to only have wine on weekends. Why am I doing this??? Welllll…I don’t want to be the round faced mom in all the senior/parent pictures. You know…all the parent appreciation nights that will take place next year. sighhhhh… and all this talk about Cinnabon and cupcakes!
