Is a rank of 69 out of 464 appealing to UC and CSU’s and if you were an admissions officer would you be amazed?
I rank 69 out of my class of 464 and rank 39 for 10th-12th graders. I’m higher than most juniors in my science and my schedule for next year will be:
Physics
Punjabi 2
AP English
AVID
AVID
Civil Engineering and Architecture(Part of PLTW Pathway)
US History
Integrated 3
I don’t think so. You’re at around top 15% and where I live, only top 10% make it into automatic admission. I would keep working hard and you should be better in your senior year. Keep in mind, to the extent of my knowledge, it is very hard to amaze colleges so, unless you have stellar ecs and awards, I wouldn’t get my hopes too high up.
UC’s and CSU’s do not consider rank for admission decisions. UC’s do consider if you are ELC eligible as part of their application review.
Look at the common dataset’s for each target school in section C7 for UCLA example and “Class Rank” is not considered.
