Out of these 3 AP classes rank which ones are the most respected if taken by college reps and give reasons if you want:
Advanced Placement Psychology
Advanced Placement Statistics
Advanced Placement Microeconomics
All 3 are basically on the same tier. Take whichever you’ll do the best in/enjoy. If you forced me to rank them I would say Stats, micro, psych but literally they won’t care which you take as long as you do well in them
Thanks @CCSenioritis
I would say microeconomics, stat, psych
If you have taken the hardest math classes in your school or through dual enrollment (if you ran out of math at your high school), have taken highest level social science classes (AP history and econ), English and science classes your school offers and 4 years of foreign language, then any admissions counselor would see that you have challenged yourself and have taken the most rigorous course load.
Just taking AP for the sake of adding AP I don’t think impresses.
The microeconomics and macroeconomics AP classes are not easy and credit from a 4 or 5 on the AP exam can get you credit for some Econ classes at colleges.
I think for psychology and statistics it’s usually better to take an actual college class.
- Advanced Placement Microeconomics
- Advanced Placement Psychology
- Advanced Placement Statistics (especially looks bad when taken instead of AP Calculus)
