RD Acceptance Notification?

oh thanks jackht27 for the info have u heard from cpslo?

i like san diego… it’s huge though… and i’ve never actually checked out SDSU… just UCSD… so jack is probably right!

my stats: 3.95 GPA, 26 ACT, 1150 SAT

i was accepted ED as a city and regional planning major (i put nutrition as my back up major)

oh so have u done housing yet soccerchick11?

yes yes yes. ucsd is much nicer than sdsu. it’s in a much nicer area and has much nicer facilities…

WAIT!!! MY BACKUP MAJOR WAS ARCH ENGINEERING! do i still have a shot at that major!?! because i would still LOVE to go and do that, then go into grad school!!!

help me!

yup… i’ve already been reserved a spot… i got an email about it on tuesday!

however… i think it’s stupid that they’ve already opened up housing for RD students when they haven’t finished sending out all their acceptances!

i feel like all of us who r just sitting waiting for a rejection/ hopeful acceptance are in a state of pure frenzy

jack, normally… they don’t really consider your second major… i just put nutrition cuz my bf told me to… hah and if by chance, i got in under nutrition… i wouldn’t mind it. i enjoy it. i’m actually taking a jc course in nutrition this semester.

because… first they look at all the students that picked that as their 1st choice… then they look at 2nd choice… and most of the time it fills up with students that picked it as their 1st choice. i haven’t heard of anyone that got in under their 2nd choice.

oh that’s too bad. because i would have enjoyed arch engineering.

well i’m pretty much screwed. no cal poly for me haha.

yaa i know what you mean! i’ve got quite a few friends that are freakin out about it! i feel really bad for two of my guy friends though… cuz even though they’ve been accepted to a few other schools… they don’t want to attend any of them! they’re both set on poly and are still waiting to hear something! they’re probably gonna end up at cuesta if they don’t get into poly!

I’d have to disagree with jack on sdsu vs ucsd. I found UCSD disgusting and ugly and on the otherhand found SDSU quite pretty and nice.

but jackht27 u havent been rejected yet right?

jack… :(

you could always transfer if things don’t work out at oregon… but i bet you’ll end up liking things there!

no i haven’t been rejected…but i am expecting too…haha

and yeah i really like oregon a lot, but i mean, cal poly is a better arch program, and my parents don’t want me to transfer out of oregon if i decide to go there. oregon’s campus is GORGEOUS. and the facilities are awesome.

…and no. sdsu is freaky and not that great. i stand by my word on that. i hate san diego though, so maybe i am a bit biased. it’s basically a desert. by the beach. that’s all.

:( so basically means i didnt get in either…sad day

it might be ranked higher… but it’s all about the effort you put into it. you can be just as good at oregon as at poly… plus i heard oregon has a better passing rate. and i hear poly’s studios are superrr crowded! so it might turn out to be better in oregon than at poly!

it’s not over yet!!

my recommendation to you is to do what i am.
pick another school that you would like to go to, like your second choice and go with it unless you hear otherwise!

you would rather have oncampus housing somewhere that you at least want to go to, than to be waiting for something that mihgt not come and end up at a community college! :S

petra, i have heard that too. but still, poly is like california amazingness! ahhh! :]
and the studios at oregon are really nice. i am visiting them next week. i get my own!

you never know brwneyedgir190… i heard they’re still sending out acceptances

i hope so my heart is set on poly.

You guuuuuuuuuys!!! Stop thinking like that! Maybe your applications are on the fence! Stay positive because, REALLY, that could be the difference of whether you get in or not. Acceptances are still trickling in, so stay positive.

P.S. I hated UCSD because of its overly expansive campus, stone and concrete exterior, and overbearing eucalyptus trees that made it shady and cold. I hated SDSU because when I toured it the students running the tour were snotty and rude, there were a couple students lighting a garbage can on fire, and another guy walked by with a keg on his shoulder. Basically they were not my kind of people and I wasn’t looking for another 4 years of high school. When I toured, I didn’t see any fantastic architecture or unique buildings but when I look at the pictures online I think there are some pretty Spanish-style buildings that I missed. Jack is right about the location though, it’s a little out of the way and a very heavily traveled street runs right through the campus and you walk over this windy footbridge to get over it. Weird.

There’s my opinion :-S

okay…thinking postive ill try at least for the next week
