Did anyone get accepted TODAY? I’m starting to get worried.

jack, you must be thinking of East Palo Alto on the other side of the 101. Palo Alto is quite beautiful (as is Stanford–no “d”), and very upper middle class. Cheapest houses are over $1m. The town has some of the best restaurants, too.

yeah i was! i should have mentioned that…

i was thinking of the wrong area.

Palo Alto and it’s surrounding areas are gorgeous. I live close by, and my friends and I would hang out in Los Altos (neighboring city) every so often :)

i just got an acceptance letter in the mail today. i never checked my status online…

so it was a really small envelope. and my other acceptances have been from private schools which send big ones, so i thought for sure it was a rejection letter. i told my mom i didn’t want to go there anyway, tore it open, and was shocked and amazed to read Congratulations! on the first line. No way! I freaked out and my mom’s like “you just said you didn’t want to go there!”

same thing as guy above. though i got rejected because of the small envelope. I never checked my status though because i forgot my password. so people do not despair your letter may be in the mail.

So they’re starting to send out rejection letters in the mail?

no I think they meant “thought I got rejected because of the small envelope”

well rejections notices should be online.
i got mine a little while ago!

I got my acceptance envelope 2 days ago. It was already open, stupid mailman trying to see if I got rejected.

They haven’t emailed ANYTHING to me so the only way I knew about mycalPoly was from my friends who got accepted. If you didn’t recieve emails from them but got a letter that talks about mycalpoly, you need to make your own account to click “yes” to be accepted into calpoly.

came as a surprise to me…

although cal poly says that you can’t appeal…can you?

i was reading another thread and someone said that they appealed and got in a couple of years ago.

i think so. i remember reading the post about a person appealing last year. although i did read on the website that it said they don’t allow you to appeal, but then i also read that they said that they don’t have a waitlist, but that’s not true because i know a few people that were waitlisted. so i think it’s possible… but you might wanna call the school just to make sure.
