<p>I’m new here on CC, and I don’t think I have good chance in UVA. I’ll try to make my stats brief.</p>

3.8 UW, 4.2 W
3rd decile in very competitive school
Taking the most rigorous schedule: took 2 APs and 3 honors last year, and 4 APs this year
SAT: 500 CR, 680 M, 670 W (1850)
SAT II: 610 US History, 560 Biology (will retake), 670 Math IIC (will retake)
AP: 4s on USH and Enviornmental Science</p>

<p>Just curious you list yourself as African/Black. Are you truly from Africa or are you an American who has ancestors who were from Africa?</p>

<p>I’ll put it to you straight: you’ve got a very small chance. Your SAT score isn’t particularly high and your class rank is well outside of what UVA typically admits. I could be wrong, though, if your school is well-known for being competitive and class rank isn’t reported on the application. Your extracurricular involvement looks very good, but even as an instate applicant, it will be a stretch for you to get in.</p>
