Are Guidance Counselors available in the summer? Or do they take vacations like students? I haven’t been assigned a guidance counselor so I have to find one from my school. Are they there in the summer?

Check your school website. My guidance counselors are at school every wednesday, so your guidance counselors might be there at least once week.

Nope, it doesn’t say anything. There are emails of them ,but I don’t know which one is here. I have summer school so should i just ask the office? I’d rather email though.

Look up their email addresses at your school’s website.

yeah just email them. our GCs go into school a few times a week and they do our recs and stuff over the summer.

Which one? We have 10 Guidance Counselors. I don’t really know any of them.

any of them if you havent been assigned one

Um…

Just e-mail any one that you’d normally see during school. It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not a counseler that wouldn’t apply to you (like a junior counseler if you’re a freshman).

My school does it by; Every counselor gets 100 students each from two grades. There have been assigned counselor’s yet. So last year’s 9/11 Counselor would have 10/12. So should I talk to a 10/12 counselor from last year who is going to be 9/11? Or should I do one of last year’s 9/11 counselor?

Talk to a/the counselor that is going to be assigned 12th grade this coming school year

I’m a freshman though.

Email the one that’s assigned to your grade this year, or, better yet, email a couple of them (like 2 or 3… not too many). If you take the latter option, don’t give your name unless to have to and preferably to only one counselor (hey, you can’t be too careful… they are writing recommendations for you sometime in the future)
Or, if the school isn’t too far away, go speak to them personally; you can also find out if they are on vacation/when they will be back.

I’m not speaking personally. I’m a bad talker until I have to do it. I just want to email. There are like 4 or 5 assigned to our grade.

Then, pick 2 or 3 and email them. It doesn’t matter if that person turns out to be your assigned GC or not.

I don’t want to email the same thing and if all 3 respond what do I do then?

Reply to the one that seems to know the most. If your counselors are anything like my counselors, they won’t mind if you don’t reply back… less work of them.

Um, I’m an incoming freshman I don’t know about any of them.

I meant based on the email reply they send you.

I will email the one that has my last name by alphabetical order.
