Ready for the nor'easter?

While the amount of snow left wasn’t more than the usual, the freezing weather and rain mixture meant many sidewalks/streets were filled with black ice.

If you’re in an area with ice on the sidewalks/streets, be careful and stay safe.

We were told to expect 10-18 and we got about a foot here. If it hadn’t changed to rain, it probably would have been much higher. No fake news, no hype, just a big mess to clean up.

And you thought you got a lot of snow? Interesting read on how they deal with tons of snow in Japan:

More snow than Syracuse? All I can say is “Yuki-No-Hana.”

Made it outside for the first time this morning. Shoveled as far as the woodpile. Car is still an hour or two away - hope to get there by the end of the afternoon.

The snow is lovely - crunchy on top, and underneath that, nothing but a deep layer of powder. It’s still daunting, but that article about the Japanese snow canyon puts it all in perspective - thank you, @doschicos!

And we’re back. Mother Nature’s little April Fool’s Joke. The calendar says it’s spring? Nope, suckers!

Ack. NO SNOW! I have to drive at about noon tomorrow.

Hugs.

(This is why I love my Rain City!!!)

Hey it was a lovely day in Rain City today, cross country skiing in the sun.

Is the northeast getting slammed? I wasn’t watching.

Parts of New England only to my knowledge.

Sorry, folks, my fault - I ran out of flea/tick meds. Really need the snow cover to keep my dogs safe 'til I can get to the vet next week.

We were supposed to get some slushy snow/freezing rain last night/today but just a plain cold rain. Should have stayed an extra week in Florida.

I think we are up to at least 8 inches now, maybe more. Still snowing.

Well, it’s pretty.

Looking outside my window (Central Massachusetts) and snow is falling. Yesterday we had slushy rain–snow sarted early this am. So far, we’ve got about 3 inches. The only good thing about spring storms is that melting happens pretty quickly.

Not doing anything at my house.

60’s by mid week.

Southern NH (not on the Seacoast) - they said it’s be heaviest this morning. They were right. It’s pouring snow. Just went out and shoveled off the top step so the door doesn’t get snowed shut again. Yup, again.

Snowing heavily. About 8 inches thus far. Supposed to taper off by 7pm.

We got about two inches of slush overnight…then temps in the 40’s melted it all it was actually a nice day.

Sorry for you folks who are having…snow again. Hoping this is the end.

We mostly got rain.

That’s the best kind of nor’easter.
