<p>Who saw the Real Housewives/New Jersey finale? I thought there would be blood shed. How 'bout that Bernie Kerik?</p>
<p>By the way, they are casting for yet another show: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The only one that I know that is “up” for the show lives in the Palisades, which is NOT BH. And she has “problems”. Oh NO!</p>
<p>I read in the paper that the next one will actually be Housewives of Washington DC!</p>
<p>cartera-- I had the same reaction (i.e. “THAT Bernie Kerik?”) - pretty surprising!</p>
<p>After vowing not to watch RHNJ, I ended up watching most of the episodes. Guess that time slot has become a habit. Far prefer the NY version though. </p>
<p>The only ones who came out on a positive note were Jacqueline and her husband. Would NOT want to be in her shoes, marrying into a family like that. And Danielle’s poor daughters-- I think the most disturbing part of the whole series was early on, when she announced that she had to find a rich man to ‘rescue’ her and her girls. Sheesh. What an example to set. </p>
<p>Don’t know if I’ll have the stomach for NYC Prep. The show hasn’t even started yet, and already viewers can’t stand them. A few seem seem insufferable (perhaps due to editing), but still - they’re KIDS. What were their parents thinking? I like Bravo programming very much, but think they manipulate things more than they let on (for example, why would Teresa ever have invited Danielle to her ‘close friends’ dinner party in the first place?). I’m watching too much tv lately…</p>
<p>The next one is DC, they are already casting it. I am not sure if they will do it actually in DC, or the outer suburbs like McLean VA or Chevy Chase MD.</p>
<p>I saw the finale last night, and to be honest I thought it was in very poor taste that Danielle did that. If she wanted to do it, she should have hosted her own party and done it at hers. You don’t accept an invite and then insult the hostess. I wonder if Danielle now feels crappy because, Caroline had all along stated she instigated the book and that Dina was not involved. I have no respect for Danielle because when your 14 yr old says Mom the guys only are with you because of sex, means they know way too much of mom’s life. </p>
<p>I do pity Jackie, but she was being very naive about Danielle, especially when Danielle stalked her at the beauty salon, then at her home and then spoke ill of her sister in law. I like Jackie because she seems grounded as a parent. I read on her blog some unkind comments toward Danielle, which tells me she is now on the outs with her. The blog was only written this week, and seeing as the taping was last summer, alot has happened since then and now.</p>
<p>Theresa makes me laugh, did you all notice they paid 30K in bills on the one episode…got to ask who has 30K just laying around the house? That house is flipping huge, as a realtor I would bet it is easily 15K sqft. Guessing the dining room was at least 20 X30 and the family room had to be 40 X40. It was all a little too much for my taste.</p>
<p>I also wondered why Jacqueline would form a friendship with Danielle. What’s the attraction? And unfortunately, she can’t choose her family.</p>
<p>IMO I think Jacqueline chose to be-friend Danielle for herself. Theresa and Dina have been friends for 14 yrs, and since Lexi is the daughter from her first marriage and only 13, she even knew her before Dina married her 2nd husband. Then add into the fact that Caroline is Dina’s sister, Jacqueline might have felt it was someone in her life that was not connected with her family. Everybody needs a friend that is in another social circle, so you feel that they are your friend because they want to be and not have to be. If I am right she only moved to Franklin Lakes 6-7 yrs ago, so her friends came from Caroline and Dina’s circle. Add into the fact that your the sister in-law, your children are different ages, and your two sisters are married to brothers and work together, she might feel like the odd man out.</p>
<p>I don’t think Jacqueline is as innocent as she portrays, I think there is an underlying resentment to the “family”, and due to family connections she is caught. Her statement to Caroline made me feel a little awkward, as if she was talking in code to Caroline…the true is true line. I know for me I have many lines like that, and Bullet knows if I say it there is an underlying meaning…he jokes about my kiss of death…I wish you all the very best that you deserve, because I am meaning it in a negative way, but people walk away wondering did she curse me or bless me, because I do say it with a kind smile. That is a typical Jersey girl, we have made it an art. These wives remind me of myself, minus the mansions, Range rovers, fake breasts, Botox. I was raised with one premise. There are three things you don’t screw with me because I will come after you. Screw me on anything you want, but stay away from my three F’s

<p>Last night Danielle, hit the 3 F’s for Theresa/Caroline/Dina…she attacked Theresa at her dinner party (FINANCES and got mad when Theresa wanted to remove her FAMILY/children), she attacked DINA (Theresa’s FRIEND) and Caroline’s( FAMILY). </p>
<p>Notice Caroline, didn’t care about the book coming out at the table and defended her right to speak. Caroline was very mature in the beginning. Caroline also stepped up to the plate and said it was me. Danielle refused to believe it.</p>
<p>I went back and read their blogs today.
Jacqueline now admits she even talked to outsiders about the book, so she was just as guilty as Dina, Theresa and Caroline, but she kept her mouth shut and allowed the rest to be berated, for doing the same thing as them.
Danielle, now states she is sorry for blaming Dina and realizes that Caroline did it. OOPS!</p>
<p>Personally I have no respect for Danielle, and believe there is more to the story than what she likes to portray, let’s be real, if the book was filled with lies, wouldn’t she sue for defamation? SHe admits she is having financial issues, surely the damage this book filled with lies, as she states would be now a cash cow for her and she wouldn’t have to worry about money. She also wants her girls to be her best friends, I am sorry, there is friendship with children and then there is this forced relationship you see with them. The girls always look like they want to run away from her, especially the eldest, I think in every episode she says to her can we go now? The poor girls were the only ones not allowed to leave the room and had to endure this, what kind of mother wants their 10 yr old to hear, yes, I was arrested, yes I changed my name, no I wasn’t a prostitute, but I was a stripper? Yet Danielle sits and says we are so close. Her girls are typical teenagers, they want very little to do with Mom. The saddest part was when her daughter said you don’t know what it is like since I was in 5th grade the boys have hit on my Mom! All I though was Ooooh…UGGGH! Or when her daughter said the guys only want you for your goodies. If a child can see it, than it has to be very blatant in the home. Also she belongs to a dating website for wealthy people and had internet sex with a guy. How stupid are you, people can easily lie about who they are on the internet. SHe is a true gold digger! MHO is that Danielle used Jacqueline to get into the wealthy circle and Jacqueline did not see it, but Dina and Caroline did. If you watch the episodes from the beginning, in the very begining Theresa went with Jacqueline to spy on Danielle at a blind date. Eventually Theresa also left that relationship.</p>

This! My BS detector just won’t stop pinging for all these “candid reality” shows, which is what Television Without Pity calls them. I don’t get why supposedly wealthy, socially successful people are willing to put themselves on display so that the American public can ridicule them. (And I think that reality producers are ridiculing the American public by seeing how far they can go with this stuff.)</p>
<p>Not saying it can’t be enjoyable - just saying I don’t understand it.</p>
<p>They do it because they have too much time on their hands, and enjoy the notoriety. They live in the belieff even bad PR is good! You also need to understand how wealthy they are, nobody is going to outcast them for multitudes of reasons. Their acquantances will talk about them behind their back, but to their face they will kiss them and hug them, except to Danielle (because she doesn’t have the $$$$ clout). Are you really going to be rude to Theresa to her face, if you need her to donate to your charity. Franklin Lakes is very well off, these are women who feel great by hosting charity events. You need Theresa to donate money. You need Caroline and Dina because their husbands own a famous high end banquet facility…want to have your childs bar mitzvah you better smile and kiss their a$$.</p>
<p>They never see the ridicule, except for the bravo blog pages, b/c they have the social standing.</p>
<p>Also remember Caroline and Dina’s father in law(Albert “Tiny” Manzo) was just found last August buried with cement shoes (he was a made man in the mafia). You don’t want to tick them off. </p>
<p>Danielle is probably the pariah in Franklin Lakes right now, because if the wives of FL have to choose Danielle can offer them nothing, the others on the other hand can. It wouldn’t surprise me if she no longer gets her hair done at the salon they were talking about, because she would be seen as the leper. It is a very small community and people talk, nobody would want to risk it getting back that they were hanging with her.</p>
<p>Caroline’s and Dina’s father in law was found in a trunk about 35 years ago, not last summer.</p>
<p>My bad, the article stated August of this yr…maybe they were referring to the killler. It wasn’t 35 yrs ago, but in 1983 (26 yrs in August) under the belief he was skimming from the Gambino family. </p>
<p>The irony is that Caroline wants to know who associates with her family (Danielle), but her FIL was killed by the Gambino family. Maybe she was worried that Danielle had connections from a fueding family 
It also could be that her family is no longer connected and doesn’t want to be dragged back in ("JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS OUT THEY DRAG ME BACK IN AGAIN…Godfather III)</p>
<p>Is the Giudice money believed to be from legitimate sources? She called him an “entrepreneur” - the code name for “I could tell you what he does, but I’d have to kill you.”</p>
<p>I read that the Giudice house is 10,000 sq ft and isn’t he “in construction”?. I thought that line of work was suffering…I guess not in NJ! Know who I liked the best in this episode? Jackie’s father! By her looks I didn’t think she came from such grounded people…figured she was a showgirl or something. I think they’re appalled by the gaudy largesse that her daughter’s married into.</p>
<p>That thing they were driving looked a little like gawdy largess too though. </p>
<p>I agree that they seemed much more grounded.</p>
<p>My fifteen year old DD had her first full day of summer yesterday and spent it getting caught up on the NJ housewives! When I came home last night she said, “Mom I am hooked on these crazy ladies!”</p>
<p>What’s with the Cristal tippling during the day? Nobody’s ever shown up on my front door with champagne during the day! I wonder if I’m missing out on something…ha ha.</p>
