Really low gpa

So I plan to apply to Arizona state because I heard that admit everyone. I talk to an admissions counselor and she said with my super
low GPA …1.7 combined with a 24 on my act I have a chance of getting, I just want to know what you guys think and what are the lowest GPAs you’ve seen get into college???

Click on the most recent one and scroll to section C. 0.1% of freshmen had a GPA like yours.

I know I should have tried but I don’t really see what your saying. Should I bank on my act and extra curriculars and apply?

Not asking in a condescending way, but have you addressed and remedied the study habits that lead to your 1.7?

Are you looking at the chart I indicated? The 1.0 - 1.99 GPA range is the lowest on the chart that has a number next to it, and that number is 0.1%. Your GPA, if you were accepted, would be in the bottom tenth of a percent of all freshmen at that school. Is that more clear than what I posted before?

So ordinarily I’d say that’s pretty much a pointless exercise (an ACT score barely above their 25th percentile won’t make up for much) BUT I saw that info you were given on the other thread about this topic. Check that out first: do you meet those requirements/competencies/whatever?
