Is it possible to get a 600CR 610M 630W on the SAT and get a 33 on the ACT? I’d appreciate all point of views.

yeah its possible… what you need to do is get the real ACT prep book and reak it cover to cover and do the practice tests in test like scenarios… I got scores simillar to yours and on my registered practice test at my school 2 weeks a go I recieved a 33…its doable… and the ACT is more straightfoward than the SAT so, depeding on the way you learn and understand basic concepts , it may seem muc easier than the SAT.

how do you guys do the reading section of the ACT? Do you read the passages?

why would you read the passages?

PK,how would you approach it then?

actually i read them and managae to finish on time… but it always cost me to make stupid mistakes…and guys lols get back to my question…lmao

dude it’s possible it really is
first time i took the SAT i did like that horrible or worse
and i got a 33 :)

woot thanks naderboy…btw you said first get a 33 then lets talk about getting into Yale SCEA…so if I do …do you think its possible?

I would look over the questions for that passage for about 45 seconds then read the passage … I always ended up with two or three minutes before the end of the section…

juice- sounds like an excellent idea. I sometimes hear of reading thoroughly and THEN answering the questions but it’s probably much better to do it the other way around. That way you know what you’re looking for while you’re reading.

ikwame- are you from ghana? just guessing…kwame is a ghanaian name…

it is DEFINITELY possible. dont freak out…the fluctuation of scores like that happens to a lot of people

its possible, i got 2200 on sat and 36 on act. just take lots of practice tests

Is it possible to do not so good on the ACT and kick butt on the SAT?

^ 2140 SAT and 28 ACT (Twice same score)

what juice said, reading the questions first thoroughly always helps you, because then you know exactly what your reading for.

I took a Practice ACT and I got a 31 in reading without even reading all of the passages in their full lengths.

Practice ACT: Comp-27(around 1820-1860 equiv.)

English: 20
Math: 28
Reading: 31
Science: 28
Didn’t practice writing yet.

It’s better than my actual SAT score:

CR: 520
Math: 630
Writing: 490(Ow!)

Total: 1640

My Practice ACT was way higher! It’s possible.

practice tests don’t count. The margin of error is like 4 points both ways

I scored 2020 SAT and 35 ACT, but I was pretty sick when i took the SAT.
In general, if you are from the mid-west, you’re going to do better on the ACT.
I didn’t even know what the SAT was until this past December. If your school pushes the SAT, expect a better score than the ACT. The ACT is more straight forward knowledge, that’s why many mid-westerners do much better on it, since their schools do not teach of the SAT

same as above
