I applied to, and got an unconditional from, St. Andrews last year. I wanted to attend, but had a serious family issue come up that prevented me from committing or saying that I would defer. As a result, I’ve taken a gap year. The issue has been resolved, and I want to reapply to St. Andrews. Do I need to notify the school that I applied last year? If it matters, I got in for IR + Econ via the UCAS.
I’d reach out to international admissions directly. I think they might bypass the UCAS process altogether.
