Rec help!

I am an international and I am running into a problem with the teacher recommendation letters.

Basically the teachers said that since they have no experience writing recommendation letters and no time either, they can't write my letters. They have asked me to write the recommendation letters myself and they'll just sign it.

I'm terribly uncomfortable doing this. What do I do?

Another problem is that the teachers don't know me well because the teacher-student interaction is limited to the classroom lectures.

Thats awesome unless your morally challenged by this.

You could always ask for other teachers.

I really wish i was in your position lol
It would've been a disadvantage if you had the perfect teacher-student relationship, receiving perfect scores and where the teacher thought you were the best student he/she's had in his/her history of teaching - because you wouldnt be able to write how FABULOUS/ OUTSTANDINGLY PERFECT you are, whilst that teacher could.(unless youre this pretentious person who regards themselves perfect in every way lol).

When I was in the US for one year my English teacher, when a student asked him to write a recommendation for him, said about the following: What do you want the colleges to know about you? Write that down, give it to me and then I'll write you a recommendation saying exactly that and nothing else.
So just think about it: What do you want the admission officers to know about yourself?
Writing the recommendations yourself has another advantage: If you need more than one rec, you can write them in a way that they agree with each other. It's not that one teacher writes "Best student I have ever known" and another one "Good, but not outstanding".
Just look online for some sample recommendations and alter them so that they fit your needs.

Hey, I have the same problem. None of the teachers knows me well enough personally because I haven`t been very active in class.

And I feel pretty uncomfortable about writing the recs by myself because it is cheating and because if i do that i would restate "what I want the colleges to know about me" a few times in the essays and then 3 times more in the common application (once for the "counselor" too) !! What could I do?

Where can i find good ones? Just to have an idea how it looks like
