<p>I’ve only recently started registering for classes since this is my first semester here as a transfer. So far there’s not too many classes in my major that are open.</p>
<p>Do some students drop their classes on the first day of class? Is there an opportunity for me to snatch up some classes right when classes begin?</p>
<p>Many students are still adding and dropping during the first week. If you think you are going to try to get into a particular full section, you should attend class the first week so that you are not behind in the material. You can also approach the professor and ask for an override which allows you to register. (Professors hate it when students are still coming in well into the second week and are already behind.)</p>
