Registering soon! not sure how many classes and credits, 4 and 17 too much?

I’m going to be starting as a freshman at the Napa Valley Junior Community College…
I want to take:
-college prep read/write 4 credits
-int algebra 5 credits
-spanish 1 5 credits
and maybe
-psych 120 : 3 credits

what do you think about the classload, please?
too much? okay? Just wondering, thanks…

Is the spanish class a 5 day a week thing?

At my school, the intro language classes are 5 credits but they certainly don’t have 5 credits worth of work.

If that’s the case, you should be more than fine.

I’d say it looks good!!

I’d tack Psychology on there as well since just those 3 classes by themselves would be ridiculously easy in my opinion. All 4 of them would still be easy but at least you wouldn’t be wasting your time and you’d be moving faster through Gen Eds and what not.

If this community college is a stereotypical community college, then one of the advantages is easier classes and being able to take on larger course loads so I would take full advantage of that.

That’s not much of a schedule, except for the spanish (unless you know spanish).

As I said, intro language classes generally don’t have much work. Yes, they’ll have more high school type, daily assignments, but it shouldn’t be all that rigorous.

It’s 5 hours a week simply to increase how often you are around the language.
