@VeryHappy …yes, that’s it! Also, I never dilute it. After I clean the grout, i reseal it. @artloversplus …what I have is yellow colored. I just sprayed directly on grout, let set for a minute then used a brush.

glad there are answers!
What else can that Awesome stuff be used on?
I’m going to stop by Dollar Tree a.s.a.p.

Not sure if my stain is tougher or not but it did not work for me.

Here is the different awesomes at Dollar Tree

http://creforum.info/awesome.pdf

I bought the one in the last photo, perhaps I should try the yellow one as instructed.

It’s the yellow bottle. It’s worth a buck to give it a try. If it doesn’t work on your grout at least you’ll have a great spot carpet cleaner. I wish I could remember one other thing that was bad and DH said, let’s try the awesome. I said it won’t work, and it did! The newer grout really is different than the old stuff. You may have to have it regrouted. If you do, at least it will be cleanable. Good luck and let us know if the yellow stuff works.

Actually Awesome makes a “Tile Grout Cleaner” specifically deal with grout. The slogan “Whites White Grout”

I applied that to my grout and scrubbed and scrubbed, actually, it did NOT do much good to my brown spots. I tried bleach, and it did a better job although there still is a trace of the coloring. I will try to use it again.

I think my grout had coloring soaked in and it is extremely difficult to get it out. OTOH, the Awesome did a very good job to remove dirt and grease.in my laundry room grout.

Why does the kitchen grout have to match the bathroom grout? At this point I’d get an estimate for a professional regrout if you plan on staying awhile.

@conmama
Thanks
No the grout in bathroom does not have to match with the grout in the kitchen, but right now the tiles and cabinets are identical. If I change the tiles in the kitchen to granite then the tiles in the bathroom will look odd.

Why? I think it is odd to have all tilework matching throughout the house. Cabinets - that’s understandable since contractors can get a better deal from a single supplier. Different tile is then used to individualize rooms. In my house, the kitchen has solid countertops, and all three baths have different tiles even though the cabinets came from the same semi-custom cabinet maker.

I don’t think it would look odd at all to have different colors of grout in two separate rooms…even with the same tile.

Just bought some from Dollar tree. Can’t wait to try it out.

I don’t think it would be odd if the grout doesn’t match what’s in other rooms, even if it’s the same tile. I doubt anyone would notice or care. I think it would just look like you were trying for a different “look”…totally fine. (totally awesome
)

I actually prefer variety and not match look that is boring.

I went to get those yellow Awesome today. Took home and immediately tried it out. It was good stuff, dirt and grease goes right out, however, the stained part I ran bleach over using fine tooth brushes and it is clean!! The last step is run grout seal over and I am done.
Except it took me the whole afternoon to do the kitchen floor, what about the rest of the house? I figure 7 days in total…
Yeah! Wish the awesome had worked though. Maybe it helped the bleach. :). Just used it last night on carpet in office. We have a blacktop driveway, and DH walks in that room every evening to drop off his briefcase and there are the blacktop stains. Awesome took it and every other stain in that room right out.
Where do you get it and how much? I see it on Amazon for 7.99.
Dollartree Stores has whole line of Awesome cleaning products @ $1 each. I think the stores are called 10Dollartree Stores in metro NYC area.
LOL, I thought it was a typo at first.
Over here in Ca you can get Awesome in Dollar Tree or 99c Only stores for $1. Do not buy any cleaning stuff in Home Depot, they sell everything retail price.
@conmama
I believe Awesome did help the bleach to remove the stains. You have to apply the bleach while it is still wet with the yellow awesome, but cannot be watery. I did experiment various timing, I found the bleach works the best immediately after I wipe the awesome away and before it is dry.
