7 days of more work? Is there something wider/bigger/faster that you can use instead of a fine toothbrush? Did you let the Awesome and bleach combo sit on it for awhile first?
There must be some other tool you can use that would be less labor-intensive.
I had no idea that the Awesome products were anything but a DollarTree line. I thought it was their own kind of generic brand.
I do buy the Awesome that comes in a green bottle that is for calcium/rust/lime deposits. It is more mild that CLR type products, but I don’t feel like I need to fear fumes, etc, when using it on shower doors.
Less labor intensive, no elbow grease required is the stuff I am always on the hunt for…if there is such a thing. If it could be sprayed on cubic zirconia and turn rock into real diamonds that’d be a nice bonus for a cleaning spray!
In Walmart sometimes I’ve seen a laundry detergent that must be made by same company as Awesome products…the same type red bottle as sold in Walmart is labeled Awesome in Dollar Tree…in Walmart it is labeled “Tad” …it looks like real Tide red container!!
Unfortunately I bought a house with tiles, tiles are everywhere, the kitchen floor is only a small part of it. To replace the tiles will cost…$100k. So I have to live with it for a while. At least I bought the house at the right price in a foreclosure.
I wish I could just spray on some thing magic and everything will shine, but that is a wishful thinking.
I first used a thinner type brush that was just a little wider than the grout. DH said what are you doing? Mproceeded to spray the stuff on and just used a regular size brush with handle on top. Worked fine and cleaned the tile, too. Went a lot faster.
First, use a good strong mold and mildew killer. Thereafter, use a cleaner with oxalic acid as the active ingredient. In the meantime, I wish very bad things upon anyone who thinks white grout is a good idea anywhere. I spend more time cleaning the grout in my shower than I do on the rest of the house. They shouldn’t even be allowed to sell white grout!
