Requesting More Hours/Days

<p>I’ve mentioned that I’m currently doing an veterinary internship and I work Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2 hours. I love it so far and love the people around me. I feel like two hours isn’t enough, and I think I need more days also lol. I don’t want to come off as greedy, because the RVT has other interns also. I was thinking coming in on Monday too, and being in there for 3 hours.</p>

<p>Is this fine? Also what would be the best way to ask the RVT?</p>

<p>Volunteers can only work for so many hours; otherwise, the organization may be in violation of child labor laws (although these generally don’t apply to unpaid workers, organizations follow them anyway to stay on the safe side of the law). First research the child labor laws in your area and see if it is even possible for the organization to use you for as long as you want.</p>
