Hi,
I’m an Indian citizen.I completed my 12th or Higher secondary from India in 2001…I joined an engineering course in 2003 but had to discontinue my course due to some personal issues.I moved to US in 2014 and now I’m a Green card holder.I wish to join an undergraduate course here.Could someone advise me what are the requirements for admission to a college…?I don’t know to how my Indian school marks will be evaluated here…
Thanks…
If you too college level courses after graduating secondary school you will be applying as a transfer student, not a freshman. Please consult the admissions page of each college’s website for requirements.
This website will help you learn about the US college process and will refer you to centers in your country that will help you.

What do you want to study, and how much money do you have available to pay for your education? Do you need to study part time so you can meet family and/or work obligations? If you are in the US now, your first stop could be the international admissions office of the community college closest to where you live. Chances are that will also be the most affordable and convenient place for you to begin your studies
Wherever you do decide to study, you will need to have your secondary school records and your university records formally evaluated by one of the organizations that do that. I would recommend that you use http://www.wes.org/ Their evaluations are accepted by all of the colleges and universities that I know of. Many of the other evaluation companies have limited acceptance. Start this process as soon as you can. It will take a while for you to arrange for the paperwork.
Wishing you all the best!
