So some of you may know my 12th results blew. I was planning on retaking the exams through NIOS this Feb (English, Math and Science and Tech). My predicted grades are 80+. Would it help me at all if I provide this information in my mid year report, as the NIOS results won’t be out until March end/April? Should I even bother retaking 12th?

PS I’ve applied to many selective institutes

Thanks Tizil, but the question is if it’ll help my applications to include that I’m retaking 12th in Feb. Because otherwise, I’d rather sit the April on-demand NIOS which has a test center closer to my home town.

Well CHPhy, I think that you should retake at the earliest possible opportunity and inform the colleges. This may show your steadfastness and commitment to projects and to perform well. Plus, if they have your new grades in hand, they will be able to make a much more informed decision :)
