<p>That was the first thing that crossed my mind when the dog recognized her. Especially being a big dog. They usually don’t last past 12. Artistic license. </p>

<p>I’m glad to hear Tyler is a nice in RL as the characters he plays. My friend’s cousin was married to James Spader and he is much of an a<strong>h</strong>* in RL as the characters he plays.</p>

<p>emilybee, just to clarify, Ashton who plays Tyler is a very sweet boy. He isn’t anything like the character he’s playing on Revenge. He’s a very good actor. :)</p>

<p>Unfortuantely, can’t say the same for James Spader. According to my friend he isn’t acting!</p>

<p>How is it that Emily is friends with the party planner girl? Was it from college and they just happen to live/work next door to one another or did they just meet? I think I need to find a re run of the 1st episode and try and put all these pieces together.</p>

<p>Either they didn’t say or she met her through one of the charities she was “volunteering” for (with Lydia’s husband.) Do we even know that Emily went to college? For some reason I don’t think she did.</p>

<p>And yes, Emily went to college. When Frank is digging up info on her for Victoria, he says something like “her dad’s money let her go all over the world collecting degrees.” She also studied abroad in Barcelona (was captain of the equestrian team).</p>

<p>I’m sure the geeky guy friend could have hacked into where ever it was necessary and created fake records for her.</p>

<p>AM17, I don’t know if the college degrees are the “truth” but the PI did also note that she vanished for a couple of years… and then shows up.</p>

<p>So… Maybe the writer’s didn’t think it through at first.</p>

<p>No, I guess we don’t really know - but she is in a picture of the Barcelona equestrian team, so there’s that.</p>

<p>Definitely a half sister…Tyler’s character needs to be fleshed out. He is evil just to be evil. And obviously a poseur. BUT, why would Emily keep her family secrets/revenge completions in a box that ANYONE could access? The security guy would find it in a second.</p>

<p>I’m thinking about this show way too much.</p>

<p>I am hoping that Tyler is the one who was shot in the pilot. We never saw the face of the victim and I don’t recall seeing him anywhere during the party. Also, I think I read somewhere that the actor was not even hired when the pilot was filmed.</p>

<p>This is my favorite new show of the season.</p>

<p>emilybee, it’s been at least 8 years since Emily got out of the juvenile detention center to where we are now. Plenty of time for that. It seems that many of her activities are indeed genuine, such as volunteering with Lydia’s ex-husband, since he recognizes her.</p>

<p>AM, JMO, but everything she has done, like volunteering at the Met, was to get close to her intended victims. Unless there was someone on the equestrian team in Barca she needed to get close to, I’m leaning towards her whole “backstory” being fabricated with the help of her geeky guy friend.</p>
