Oh no – now we’re slaying Betty Crocker? Say it isn’t so! What will I do w/ my “Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow” Award from HS? (I took the test because I got to miss a few class periods and it seemed like a hoot. I think my parents were embarrassed I actually won.)

Revirginized = moving back home to Roanoke.

sonssecty…that’s funny! Then again, if you wake him up, you may not be revirginized but rather than singing “Like a Virgin,”, you could be singing, “Oops, I did it AGAIN!”

Paying3Tuitions…LOL

This reviginizing notion is gonna mean that Webster’s is gonna have to change the definition of “virgin.”

soozievt: I was thinking the same thing. He may find it enticing and then I would have to put my computer away…darn.

I keep flashing to the Pod People…with these nonvirgins afraid to fall asleep…

As well, what do the men do…so many jokes, and so inappropriate…

There has just got to be a great counrty and western song in all this!! Think, folks, think.

Regarding “revirginalization”: Obama was more correct in his announcement of “silly season” than he knew.

Not great, but a first draft:

When you left, you left me broken
I could hardly go on livin’
For the lies that you had spoken
My most precious gift I’d given

But I went and saw the preacher
And he told me what to do
From a vile and sinful creature
I was whole again, like new

Now you’re back to try, with your winkin’ eye
And your sly “Remember when”
Honey, you can’t take my virginity again

JHS – nicely done! ROTFL

Virginity, the gift that keeps giving.

Do men even CARE about the virginity of the women they sleep with?
No really. I want to know.

I imagine a future Mike Myers’ movie about the Revirgination Machine.

@ Crash_Blair
Actually some guys don’t like virgins because they tend to be clingy afterwards.

This revirginization concept is odd to say the least. Virginity is no big deal anymore to a lot of girls.

But seriously –

I find it remarkably contradictory that “we” (whoever that is–) tell young girls that sex is something special, should only be done with someone you love, blah blah blah. Yet by the time we’re “old” (whatever that means–), it’s really not a big deal.

What’s that about??

VeryHappy, it’s kind of like driving. You want to do it a lot when you first get your driver’s license and are all excited about driving to the store. After your 1000th or millionth trip to the store, the rush isn’t quite the same, even though you still need milk and bread.

its about not being fake…and the idea that you didn’t have a life and that somehow just because you are a sexual being and had sex, that doesn’t mean you aren’t whole, or worthy or to be valued

point is that when you are “older” (ahem) you should be valued for who you are, virgin or not, and you shouldn’t have to have some skin replaced in order to be worthy of love, and you shouldn’t need to pretend you haven’t previously had sex in order for your current man to love and value you

In certain religious circles it makes ALOT of difference if a girl’s a virgin or not. Whether we agree or not, its a fact.

veryhappy, there is no contradiction here…its hopeful that girls will be smart about who they have sex with and when they have sex…because we hope they won’t get hurt, are safe, etc.

that being said, you would hope that if a man cares about that girl, he doesn’t need to somehow pretend she is this virginal creature in order to see her as a whole wonderful person if she did have sex any time previous to them meeting

no contradiction at all

dke, and that is sad indeed…people die because they weren’t a virgin…
