I just got off the waitlist (received a phone call). I submitted my LOCI last week on the portal. So excited!

I didn’t receive any merit aid
Rice is need blind for admissions and gives out lots of need based financial aid, but Rice gives very few merit awards not based on need. Wait list admits probably won’t get any merit.

I just got in as well! It was great news as a girl from my school got in last week, so in my head, I figured it was by region so I gave up. However, getting the call was such great news! They actually called my mom first around 8:15 pm EST (I’m from Northern Virginia). I submitted my LOCI on March 30th.
Have any international students gotten off yet?
@macaowllover an international student I know at a boarding school got off the WL…but I’m not sure if he is considered in the ‘international’ pool since he’s been studying in the states all of HS and his mailing addresses I assume is overseas.

I got off the waitlist to Rice University yesterday! I can’t believe this happened still. Also, another girl from my school got off yesterday too!
Would I be able to see what people wrote for their LOCI/Waitlist Updates for those that got in? I am just curious to see what ‘worked’ in regards to what they might be looking for in these letters.
