@Hawkrunner2000 Rice had enrolled around 100 more students. This led to housing crisis. Rice offered 50% cut on room fees for students willing to accomodate an extra person in the dorm.

How did you find out about the Trustee scholarship? I couldn’t find scholarship info anywhere and it seems like a lot of you got one! Congrats to those who did!

Did anyone receive the Century Scholar award? I just wonder Rice still offers this program to incoming freshmen.

How bad do grades have to be for rice to take away admission? My letter said they can do this if grades aren’t high enough.

For those who were accepted, did you get an email congratulating you on your acceptance? Just curious because I’m too scared to check lol.

We got a few emails about Owl days etc. afterwards

REJECTED. Sister sobbed for 30 minutes. This was my dream school, and I did everything, from the interview to admission events to tours to meeting with faculty. I really thought that I had a chance. Well I guess not…
