Rice University Class of 2028 Official Thread

Going off the pattern Sarah posted it’ll probably be between the 25th and the 27th

I think several schools with lower yields (backup schools for top students) consider DI. I know ivy league schools don’t but some near ivy league do as others. I don’t know of any public univ’s which do.

Is there Rice University Portal Astrology? We’d like to know the decision before next Tuesday, we plan to book air tickets to give my nephew a big surprise.

Please help.

Have you heard of the story of the withdrawal button?

Do tell

How early does it disappear? Am curious to hear too

Someone reported that, for some year, if the withdrawal button was gone right before decision day , that meant it’s acceptance or waitlist.

Still have it, maybe monday they would start disappearing.

BTW the withdraw link is in the My account tab.

There is a chance they have already fixed the problem.

<< if the withdrawal button was gone right before decision day , that meant it’s acceptance or waitlist>> Sounds like the opposite of UC Berkeley portal astrology. For UCB, withdrawal button is reserved for admitted or waitlisted, and it’s gone for those rejected… Very interesting.

Anyone else have additional forms show up in financial aid checklist, such as “Business Taxes” and “Letter of Explanation?” These weren’t there 2 days ago.

No, not for us. You have new dates next to them? Sounds like a positive sign.

Are they just new forms uploaded, or are these forms missing? Either ways its a strong indication of acceptance.

Where is the withdraw button

did you check the "my account: tab?

Oh yes, I see it now. thank you
