I can’t imagine the anguish of having buried 2 children. How sad.

It’s like something out of the Book of Job. 
So tragically sad. My heart breaks for Vice-President Biden and the entire family. To lose two children in his lifetimes along with his first wife. I remember Beau Biden speaking at the Democratic Convention in 2008 and his heartfelt nominating speech for his father and his tribute to giants of the U. S senate who encouraged him to persevere.
President Obama’s words and tribute are so eloquent. What an enormous loss.
I had never seen the pictures of Biden swearing in by his son’s bedside. Truly haunting and humanizing.

I have never forgotten Beau Biden’s touching speech introducing his father in 2008. I loved when he said “we–me, my dad, and my brother–married my mom, Jill.” It was just the sweetest thing.
Beau seemed like he was a really fine man.

Now it has been reported that his son, Hunter, was discharged from the Navy reserve earlier this year, reportedly after testing positive for cocaine. Geez, how much can one family stand?? We’ve been through a lot ourselves, but nothing like this.

As Americans, and as people, we should only be supportive and comforting at times like this. No one can deny that the Bidens are a loving and devoted family. Politics and partisanship should never be a part of any situation like this. A family is hurting, deeply.
Ugh… Westboro Baptist Church (and I use the term church loosely, only because that’s how the news article is written) will hold a protest outside the church because the Biden family has chosen to say the rosary as part of the funeral services.
The pictures I’ve seen over the last 24-36 hours of the visitation have put a huge hole in my stomach. I’ve never seen the VP look so emotionally spent (nor any of the other family members, but we’re not as used to seeing images of them as we are the VP’s).
It wasn’t this year, it was in 2014 and was widely reported last fall.
Aw gee, so it’s dredge it up time, now?
