I remember the scene when Mary’s parents were visiting. Her mom was going out and said, as she was leaving, “Don’t forget to take your pill.” Mary and her dad said, in unison, “I won’t.”
It got a great laugh. Very grown-up way to make the point that Mary didn’t necessarily sleep alone. There was a backlash, though people apparently got over it.
