Her outfits still look sophisticated and not dated to me. 
She looked great and so did Rhoda and Phyllis. Grown-up but not frumpy. On-trend but not faddish. And don’t forget her on DVD in pants. I was surprised that was a controversy back then. I don’t remember much about that era, but I remember how my mother and the neighbor ladies dressed and it was like Laura Petrie!
I’ve watched a few episodes of the first season which I hadn’t seen in a long, long time. I forgot how irritating Phyllis is. 
@doschicos Phyllis and Sue Ann’s nastiness were perfect counterpoints to Mary.
ABC 2020 special was good. So the MTM show was cancelled by CBS? Mary said that she wanted to do more seasons.
That’s really nice to hear. I was just telling my wife that I couldn’t imagine that she wasn’t as nice as she seemed on screen. Like you said, we think that often, but when it turns out to be true, it’s a really nice surprise.
