Is RISD double degree same as double major.
I want to double major in engineering and economics. Is that possible with brown?
I feel RISD is with engineering+design, or usually with arts and is for five years. It might not help me right?

Thank You.

The RISD-Brown dual-degree program is for students who want a degree from Brown as well as one from RISD. They apply to both schools, as well as to the program, and if admitted spend 5 years between the two schools.

If you want to concentrate in engineering and econ, that’s something you’d do within Brown.

And yes, a double concentration in Engineering and Econ is possible. (at another school would be called having 2 majors. ) Engineering concentrations are the concentration that probably have the lowest percentage of students also completing a second concentration, due to the large number of required courses, and the relative inflexibility of the times those course are offered. You can also do an engineering concentration and just take a bunch of Econ course that you are interested in (sort of an undeclared minor, since Brown does not have “minors”.)
