RL polos

If the pony on a classic fit RL mesh polo is a little off center, meaning it is above the button placket, or not exactly where it should be, does that mean the shirt is fake? I went to several stores and noticed this; thoughts?

I read your previously infamous thread so I will answer your question before the flames start coming.

I would highly doubt that polos are counterfeit because of an off-center logo. Humans sew the clothing so there would be some imperfections. By imperfections, I just mean a loose thread or a slightly off logo. Counterfeit apparel would have many things wrong with them. A messed-up-looking logo is a dead giveaway (PUBU, Timms on the side of the shoe instead of a tree, etc.). Poor quality fabric is another sign of counterfeit merchadise. Since the off-center logos are seen in many stores, I highly doubt that the shirts are counterfeit.

first off (and more importantly) what stores are we talking about? second, exactly how far off center are we talking?

Ok well normally the logo is below the two button placket (the vertical rectangular thing hanging down from the collar on the front of the shirt) and it is off to the left. The shirts I saw have the logo ending at the bottom of the placket, and somewhat more to the right. The material checks out and stuff, but I just get doubts. I have seen it at the mall, and my friend’s ebay store. He has numerous poly bagged shirts at his house, and some of these shirts look spot on authentic, but the thing that seems to make others counterfit is the off center logo.

That link shows a guy with an authentic shirt; notice the logo is below the placket to the left. The 2 spots I highlighted in white are where I have seen the logo on other shirts. For this reason I don’t know if they are authentic or not.

That doesn’t look too bad. The sewers may just stitch them in a little off. They are authentic.

What does look bad in that picture is that guy’s popped collar.

polos are so spring 2005. light goth and femme punk are so in.

Polos will never be “out,” bendrumfront.

If you were an alien using this forum to study life on the planet, you would probably be led to believe that every person on earth wears polos all the time.

Anyone with some sewing skills and an embroidery machine can sew a polo shirt and put a pony logo thing on it and sell it on ebay or wherever. If you’re buying shirts from actual retail stores, though, it’s not likely that they’re fake.

its probably made by ****ed off kids in indonesia

polo rl shirts are made in so many different places. thats why i hate ordering them online. the cuts, positions of the horse, etc vary from country to country. your shirt is probably not fake, just from a different country than the others you’ve seen.

who cares?

i thought the logo had to line up with the bottom button for it to be real but that might have been la coste. whered you get the shirt.

Why are we discussing this? I don’t mean to be annoying, but it doesn’t really have anything to do with college.

oh yes it does.

i think there are more important things to worry about on a college forum

i killed a guy wearing a fake RL polo … just to watch him die

hmmm

There are countless topics that have nothing to do with college.
“Do girls dig guys” threads…

If you’re concerned about buying fake RL polos, why not buy them from a RL store or outlet and solve the problem?
