<p>I miss reading Roald Dahl</p>

i loved danny the champion of the world</p>
<p>yes! that was zawesome. i also liked my uncle oswald. and his short stories… but danny’s gotta be my fave as well.</p>

<p>ah good times. did anyone ever read his ghost stories? there was this one about a lady with an adopted daughter who plays with an “invisible friend” named charlie (?) under the rosebushes. Charlie had red hair and was really the ghost of the girl’s older brother, who had died saving her from a fire. does anyone know the name of this story? i read it a long time ago and forgot. 
it was quite spooky despite my inane description.</p>

<p>I read Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me and The Magic Finger though :D</p>
<p>oh wow I totally forgot about Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts! that’s his best work :D</p>

<p>a.)The older brother’s name was Harry which was also the name of the story. And yes it was VERY creepy. MOst of the stories in that book were.
b.) Roald Dahl didn’t write those stories- he just compiled them in one volume. And it was a brilliant volume 
My favorite story was The Corner Shop…I thought it was amazing :D</p>
<p>I loved his book “Witches.” And “Matilda.” I read those books over and over when I was a kid. Dahl is an awesome guy.</p>

<p>OMG merc! How can you not know who Roald Dahl is!>! That’s like not knowing who Dr. Suess is!!! It’s like not having a childhood!!! :rolleyes:</p>
<p>:) oKIE, jokes aside, Roald Dahl is a GENIUS. I loved his stories. Matilda 
is a classic. My kids will be forced to read that book:p</p>
