@mominva, that’s funny. My son likes the connection to the airport since we travel out of it a lot!
Let’s not forget one of Nancy Drew’s female best friends, George!
Geez… At 58 I guess I have some “old fashion” ideas…
Before I ask a new mother what the name is I always ask if the baby is healthy. To me, that is just more important.
Think some girls /boys are names Max. But usually shortened for the girls name.
Just don’t give them directional names like East and West etc.
Also just remember, these kids have to live with these names and what we think is currently cute or cool.
also Georgy Girl popular song and movie from the sixties
I certainly hope Darth didn’t make the list
Rogue, roe, bane, Baze, Biggs, cad, hug, kit, Poe, Rex, zeb, jyn,
Maz.
OK. You can stop asking for names now. I have one that I think is perfect. No it’s perfect ?.
One of my favorite posters has this name. It’s just a pretty name for a female but just learned… It’s also a male name and it has several meanings but this one is SO perfect especially with everything you have been through…
Ready?
Sitting down?
Can’t stand the anticipation?
Well here goes the name for your child that is one syllable and unisex with a beautiful meaning and I hope someone didn’t mention it before since I will look very silly… ?

Pronounce it like the cheese…

In French it means Marshland BTW… Lol
Your welcome ?
.
@Mwfan1921 The Nancy Drew character’s name was actually Georgia. George was her nickname. It would be rare for any girl to have the legal name George. Only 7685 girls have been named George since 1880, with the peak being 1927, when only 250 girls in the US were given the name George. Girls would more likely be Georgia, Georgina, Georgeann, etc.

I believe these names all meet this George, Jack, Ren, Bo
@CottonTales I will tell you that at least one person has guessed it.
Although with all these great ideas we might reconsider ?
Skye. For Skywalker.
I like Bane, Kit, Jyn.
Bane is a supervillian name. The definition of the word is also “the cause of great distress or annoyance”.
@doschicos probably fitting for my future child ?
Kids won’t mess with him/her on the playground.
A lot of names are being repeated.
My GD’s name is gender neutral. When I told someone her name, their first response was “great! so if she decides to transition (they said " have a sex change operation… but I rephrased it) she won’t have to change her name”.
Thats not exactly the first thing I thought of…
@jym626 I can’t remember if I’ve said it on here or not but that was actually a factor in our decision. I’ve had too many non-cis friends get “outed” by their legal names.
This isn’t our primary factor but it is a factor. People ask us why we’re not giving more “traditional” names with gender-neutral nicknames and that’s why
@romanigypsyeyes - it is thoughtful and forward-thinking, but I have to admit it wasn’t the first thing that came to mind for me when they told us her name!
I know men and women named Laurie, Abbe, Francis/Frances, Jamie, Alex, Ashley, Andy, Billie/Billy, Charlie/Charley, Daryl/Darrell, Hilary, Jordan/Jordyn, Kelly, Lesley/Leslie, Toby, Morgan, Nikki/Nicky, Robbie/Robby, Taylor, Terry/Terri, Shelley/Shelly, Traci/Tracy, Ron//Ronny/Ronni, etc. There are a lot of crossover names!
You mentioned using Elizabeth as a middle name if you have a girl. That name would also be on all records (school, license, passport, etc.) , as well as the gender neutral first name.
@sevmom this is true, but it’s rare that you’re publicly called by your middle name. So yeah, they’ll be on a lot of legal documents but it’s unlikely for a teacher or doctor or something to call them that (if that makes sense). If they really need to, they can always pass it off as a maiden name of someone that was passed down or something.
I don’t remember the last time I had to use my middle name instead of middle initial. My medical records just have “E.”
Either way, much easier to hide a middle name than a first.
