Romani Jr is on the way

Well I knew my pregnancy was going too darn well. Had some routine blood tests this morning and my ALT, AST, and Alkaline Phosphatase are all very high for the first time ever. These aren’t things normally elevated in pregnancy but my levels are 2-4x higher than the upper limits depending on the test. I’ve never even had elevated levels of these before - and I’m used to weird test results.

Sigh. I already called the MFM after hours and they told me to call first thing in the morning.

Also I received some lovely gifts from Amazon today with no tags. If it was you that sent them, please let me know so I can say thank you!

Sending good thoughts your way! I hope this is something easily remedied.

So hard to get unexpected results without a context. Hope you can get it sorted out quickly. All the best.

Wishing you the very best.

Yes, thinking about you and wishing you the best.

Healthy vibes from here too.

Thinking of you this morning, and wondering, how do you feel? Are the blood tests indicating a change in how your body feels to you? If not, I hope the repeat tests come back WNL.

Fingers crossed.

.

Wishing you the best and hoping you and baby are doing well.

They suspect Cholestasis. I’ve never heard of it before but I’m going in for testing and then I’ll know in 48-72 hours.

The most common issue is preeclampsia with these results but my blood pressure is great - bordering on low.

If it is, it looks like baby will come early

Sending you healthy vibes and best wishes! Glad you have such a top notch maternity team working with you and Mr R and little Ren.

Thinking of you and the little one–sending healthy vibes and hugs!

No change in liver numbers so definitely not a fluke or mistake.

Still waiting on the cholestasis specific tests which should come in tomorrow or Friday.

On the bright side, my kidneys are doing great lol

OK, yay for your kidneys, and best wishes for all the rest!

Hope the test results come in soon!

I do love a good set of kidneys.

Every time something new goes wrong with my body, kidneys get a full work-up because lupus is most likely to attack kidneys. Half of people with lupus will eventually have kidney involvement - anywhere from inhibited functions to completely kidney failure.

So test scores go wonky? Time for kidney tests! Luckily for me, they’ve always been good.

Sending you good vibrations, Romani.

All my best as you sort this out, romani.
