<p>I am not sure if this question has already been addressed. Just wondering how they go about assigning dorm mates. Do the kids fill out a questionnaire or do they just randomly assign people?</p>
<p>they do it randomly. From what people say though it works out well and people usually keep their dorm mates so there’s really no point in a questionnaire.</p>
<p>My daughter found her roommate on Facebook (Cal Poly 2014 group site). It’s easy to do. If you request each other (put in one another’s HID number) on the housing application, they’ll almost certainly honor it. Now I hope they’re a good match! :)</p>
