Had insomnia, so up currently watching royal wedding. I love Eugenie’s dress. The material is exquisite and I love the back. Very beautiful neckline. I always like veils on brides, but I understand that one would have hid the back of the dress and her tiara is lovely. Her groom looked so nervous saying his vows, he could hardly look at her.
I missed seeing all the royal family enter, except Fergie. I think she looked lovely. In true Fergie fashion, sort of lumbered in.
I have been saying her name incorrectly all along. I thing it was pronounce “ U - jean - e”, but it’s actually “uzsa - knee” so much prettier.
I’ve decided I’m not a huge fan of most fascinators. Hats look so much more becoming all around the head.
I like the dress, especially after I read that Eugenie wanted a low-backed style that showed the scar on her back. According to the BBC, she hoped it “would honour those who had helped her and inspire others with the condition of scoliosis.”
I think her dress is a home run. The silhouette, the perfect fit, the fabric and discreet embroidery, the way it hits her decolletage and shoulders just perfectly…love it. I also think that the strength of it suits her strong features, the tiara is a knockout, and glad she skipped the veil.
I totally agree. The dress was perfect! I liked it so much better than Megan’s dress. Megan’s did not seem to fit well. Eugenie looked lovelier than I have ever seen her.
I have to laugh at Prince George. He is so cute. He looks just like Kate’s father.
The tiara and the matching earrings were spectacular. Eugenie looked lovely. The dress was gorgeous.
Camilla was a no-show. I wonder what the story is there. And yes, as someone upthread said, Fergie just lumbers when she walks. She never learned how to walk with grace.
I’m an outlier, but I preferred Meghan’s dress (I know, it’s not a contest). But I liked Eugenie’s dress for her. Similarly that’s not my favorite tiara, but with her hair and the earrings, it was stunning on her. I loved the cake design and all of the autumn colors and the way the dresses of the royal family worked so well with the color scheme. The kids - fabulous. A very, very lovely wedding.
