Running a Student Government Election?

<p>This thread is not about running for student governmnent, but rather about running a Student Government election.</p>

<p>In short, how is it done? What tips do you guys have for getting students the most excited and involved? The past method of election the past year was completely pathetic and ineffective, and so we’re starting from scratch this year in how the election will take place. Do you guys hold debates? How do people get nominated? Do you whittle down the field of candidates? How long is campaign period? Etc.</p>

<p>srry cant help you there, in my school hardly anyone runs so the ones that do run are unopposed and therefore win. But they do give speeches in front of the entire school (7-12), thts bout itt.</p>
