Rutgers vs. UCI Materials Scinece MS

Hello,

I have recently been accepted to both Rutgers and UCI’s Masters of Materials Scinece and engineering. I don’t know which one I should choose. Please give me some advice.

Here are my analyses.

Rutgers: MS is usually completed in two to three years with thesis. Most classes have between 5 and 10 students.
UCI: MS is usually completed in one and half to two years. MS can choose to take the comprehensive M.S. exam or write a thesis.

After getting the MS. Degree, I won’t consider to keep chasing Ph.D., so I don’t want to waste time on Rutgers’ thesis. Graduating from UCI seems easier to find a job in CA ( cause CA has more jobs); however, it looks like Rutgers can build stronger foundation of knowledge.

Thanks,

Why does it look like Rutgers can build a stronger foundation of knowledge?

Because most classes have between 5 and 10 students, promoting collegial relationships between faculty and students. It needs 6 hours of research credits and thesis.
