I would love to study international relations and the University of Salford looks like a great place to be for that. Am I right about this? What is student life like? Is it good for international students? Are there any other suggestions for schools that have good international studies programs?

Sorry for so many questions :)

Salford is new, undistinguished and provincial (read: unknown in other parts of the UK, let alone the rest of the world). If you want to study IR in the UK look at places like Oxbridge, UCL, St Andrews, Edinburgh, KCL, LSE, Durham and Aberystwyth.

I don’t know anything about Salford’s student life; I suspect it will be very party-orientated being so close to Manchester.
