my 13 yo daughter was day-dreaming during our frozen tundra winter; googled “sunset on the beach” and randomly found Sunset Cliffs in San Diego. we had never heard of it; she asked if we could road trip – and we said . . . “why not!” We leave on Thursday for our 1700 mile trip!!!
I hope it’s nice weather; but no matter what we will enjoy.
we are stopping at Arches in Utah & grand canyon. Renting a car – and flying Back! thanks for this thread - i’ve been reading
Right now I’m sitting at a yacht club on Mission Bay at a Client Appreciation party thrown by our Realtor’s company. It’s totally overcast but still very pleasant watching the windsurfers and sea gulls and water. Nice band playing very golden oldies, free food. I LOVE living here!
We loved the restaurant Cesarina best. Really great homemade pasta, squash blossoms fritters, etc.
Caesarina is new and five minutes from home - been twice and very happy to have them here! Did you have the tiramisu?
Yes, but they made it at the table and I was wondering if they had run out and were improvising.
No, that’s how they make their speciality dessert. The first time we were there, one of the owners stopped to chat and told us to have it next time. We did and he was right - delicious and different.
I think they ran out of it. They had also run out of profiteroles. The millifogli looked amazing too! Definitely a good spot.
