SAT Chemistry

Will I be able to do well on the SAT Chemistry subject test from what I learned in a normal Chemistry class?

We don’t know how good your Chemistry class was and we don’t know how good of a student you are.

I assume you’re talking about Honors Chemistry, I’m going to guess most likely not because the SAT Chemistry subject test covers things like thermodynamics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, organic chemistry, things that are usually covered in AP Chemistry. I’d recommend that you take a more advanced chemistry class if you intend on taking the SAT Chemistry test.

The recommended preparation per the College Board is:

AP Chem is not needed, although some students feel more comfortable after having taken AP Chem. How well your “normal” chemistry class will prepare you is totally dependent upon the school and/or the teacher as @JustOneDad said.

Honors chem should be sufficient for the subject test but it depends on your syllabus I guess. The topics raddude92 mentioned above were taught in my honors chem class and I did alright (750+) on the test. Barron’s is a helpful review source.
