I’m planning on taking US History and World History SAT IIs. I know I will do well on them, whereas I’m (extremely) shaky on the Math. I plan to major in History, and i have absolutely no motivation on continuing mathematics. So my question is…

Am I shooting myself in the foot by not taking a Math SAT II?

I don’t want to do poorly and have that one SAT II affect ALL of my admissions. I plan on applying ED to UVa so, if i get deffered/waitlisted I will be able to take my Math SAT II in February. And that way I will have appropriate time to study and prepare. One other question…Do colleges see ALL AP scores or can you handpick which ones they see?

SAT IIs are only things that can boost your chances of getting in and cant really hurt you since they are not required.

if you arent too confident in a subject for SAT II, i would not take it espeically b/c you are not planning to specialize in math (if you wanted to major in math/science or wanted to apply to the school of engineering… that would be a different story)

and, yes if you send your scores i believe they will see all AP scores (unless you cancelled the scores like right after you took the test)

when sending your scores, all your records/scores are sent together by college board or your school

no sweat about all your ap scores though, when i went to visit… the asst dean of admissions said taht ap scores/sat II cant hurt you, only boost you~
